RENOIR

The design of the tower will preserve the exterior shell of the President, originally built in 1927, and convert the roof of the historic building into an outdoor garden and amenity area for residents.
The residential tower will be offset vertically and horizontally, visually freeing the historic structure.
The President will be moved offsite temporarily to allow for construction of parking levels.
Tower supports will penetrate the historic building, but the construction will also preserve many of the President’s character-defining elements.

Renoir Suites is a 34-storey residential tower planned for Calgary’s Connaught neighborhood. The site comprises two currently vacant lots and the President, a three-storey building with historic designation and a unique Spanish Colonial architectural style. As part of this project, the President will be converted for use as office space, providing a home for the Beltline Communities Association.
