Cadence Lodge is a multifamily development designed for the mountain community of Fernie, British Columbia. The design brings principles of smart development to the growing community, which is a popular ski and mountain tourism destination. With five buildings of up to four storeys, the development is designed to intensify the site with increased residential density and consolidation of lots.

• The design provides a practical approach to answering market demand for housing without encroaching unnecessarily on the surrounding environment.

• The site plan includes underground parking, resident amenities including a lounge, two exercise rooms, and an indoor swimming pool.

• The plan also includes a total of 33 one-bedroom units and 116 two-bedroom units, as well as attainable housing in the form of four infill-style townhomes.

• The architectural style draws on the tradition of mountain and craftsman architecture, making use of exposed timber and stone accents.
