This new, 4-storey, LEED-certified facility provides 127 units including both long-term care and independent living units in southwest Calgary. Our scope of services included architecture and interior design of the 126,293 square foot facility, the design and construction of which sets an exceptionally high standard for aging care homes.
In plan, the building’s two main wings run in parallel, enclosing a central courtyard featuring a patio and walkways. The main entrance leads into a central administrative component connects the two residential wings. The varied cladding and subtle articulations help to integrate the building into the surrounding new community of medium density townhomes and condominiums.
